- Sometimes, we don’t always get what we deserve. You know what the adage says “straight trees are chosen first for cutting,” meaning good and honest people are screwed first. Our world is a cruel place, and regardless of who we are or whatever positions we hold, we do not always get what we ask for. Life is a mystery. We are never satisfied with what we get, and sometimes, the things we want never happen. And more often than not, the things we don’t want happen over and over again. This is the reality of life.
- People in your life will leave someday. Yes, the very best people we love and value will leave someday. And we don’t get to decide when or how they go. Family, friends, role models, one day love will not be enough to keep them with us. It is true that we are physically never able to “touch” the people we love and make them stay with us forever. There is always a tiny space between the surface of our hands and the people we try to hold. This mirrors the fact that we are all very lonely, predestined to live and die alone
. - Love Fades. “Years later, their eyes met; they didn’t,” goes the love story. We all meet someone and we fall in love with them, but, we don’t always get to live with the people we love the most. Not everyone is meant to stay in our lives forever, and no matter how hard that truth is to swallow, it is the reality of life. Sometimes, you and the people you love the most might have to live separately forever to be happy. People will come and go, and it is the realization that things can change in one moment forever that makes a happy life.
- It will all end one day.
What do you think about the number, 36,500? Of course, it is a pretty big number and will definitely make a good monthly salary. What about 36,500 days? Now, it doesn’t seem so big. Life is short. There’s a price tag and value to every life. And regardless of one’s prosperity or poverty, each person pays according to their ability, endures what they can, and share what they are taught before they finally go. And that is the course of life we all follow. Someday, we will become a bookmark in history; a day our name and deeds will be remembered for the very last time. So please, remember that as you make your next decision.
There will always be regrets.
You know the script. You’ve been reminded so many times to live your life with your arms wide open, to live with passion and entertain no regrets. But, here’s the truth: no matter how hard you try, you can’t avoid regrets. Sometimes they come from doing something or even not doing anything. Life is...I can’t quite define it. Not even the smartest of people knows, but one thing that is sure is that it is full of regrets. Let me tell you how. When you were young, you had the time and energy, but no money. So you waited till you grew older, and so you had the money and energy, but no time. If you are lucky, you will grow old and then you will have the time and maybe money, but no energy left. There happens to be no intersection between the three variables, and whenever we fail to maximize one more than the other, we have regrets. It is all a reality of life. Depressing? Very.
“Life is enjoyed when the
