It’s finally October, so we all know what that means…. Halloween movies! October as a kid meant carving pumpkins, going on hayrides and sitting down to watch Halloweentown marathons. So, If you’re feeling nostalgic like me, you might want to start October off right with these fan favorite Halloween movies. Just remember you're never too old for some of these classics.

1. Hocus Pocus (1993)

One of my all time favorite Halloween movies is "Hocus Pocus." Who doesn’t love a movie about three witches, some adventure-seeking teens, and a talking black cat.

Where to find this Halloween season:

ABC Family - October 19th (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT)

2. Halloweentown (1998)

Ah the classic coming of age tale for witches. If you've never seen this classic (hopefully there aren't too many of you), expect tons of Halloween ghouls, magic potions, and typical Disney humor.

Where to find this Halloween season:

Disney Channel - October 2nd (3:00 a.m. ET/PT)

3. Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge (2001)

You can't watch "Halloweentown" without directly continuing your marathon with the second one. You may as well watch all four of the Halloweentowns, but I personally think that the first two are the best. Things heat up in this sequel as Marnie has to steal back her grandma's spell book from the evil Kalabar.

Where to find this Halloween season:

Disney Channel - October 3rd (3:00 a.m. ET/PT)

4. Twitches (2005)

We can't forget about this other great Disney Channel Halloween movies. Two twins who were separated at birth realize they have the power to defeat Darkness. Think "The Parent Trap" meets "Halloweentown."

Where to find this Halloween season:

Disney Channel - October 11th (3:00 a.m. ET/PT)

5. Mom's Got a Date With a Vampire (2000)

This movie might not be as popular as the previous ones I mentioned, but I find it equally as entertaining. Two siblings set up their mother on a blind date in order to get her out of the house since they are grounded and want to go out with their friends. The "dreamy" guy actually turns out to be a vampire and as you can predict, trouble ensues.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
