Personally, I think all gifts are more meaningful when they are homemade, but obviously, not every gift can be a simple DIY project. Luckily, there are a few gifts that can easily be made, which gives you, the gifter, another fun thing to tell your recipient as you hand them your personalized, homemade gift!
1. A Calendar
This gift is perfect for almost anyone and can be used practically right after it's gifted! You can either make on digitally or by hand using more traditional techniques such as drawing or painting. 2. A Small Coin Purse Or Pouch
These DIYs are simple enough for a person with very basic sewing skills, so it's easy to make several of these cute trinkets for multiple friends and yourself. My favorite is this macaron coin purse, which is great for holding small jewelry.
It's a bit more advanced but extremely cute! This one is a single piece coin purse made from oil cloth, which means no frayed edges. And if you haven't already tried the plastic bag fusing method, you need to check it out!
All you need is an iron, parchment paper, and plastic grocery bags with fun designs. Then you have material for this awesome make up bag.
3. A Succulent Garden
Succulents are all the rage right now and who doesn't love a miniature garden in their home or office?
This kind of gift can be easily personalized by getting or making the right pot, the arrangement of the plants and the type of plants you choose to include. Country Living has an easy DIY here.

4. Kooky and Fun Jewelery
The days of basic beaded jewelry are over. Bold, fun jewelry is not only cooler but is more fun to make!

Tassel earrings are also fun to create and can easily be made as a necklace or key chain. I love HonestlyWTF's tassel earrings (below) which are more elegant but these leather ones are also cute and edgy.
5. A Garland
Garlands are a fun way to decorate a room or home office and are also easy to personalize. You can easily make one for a friend that fits their personality or the style of their house, office or where ever they choose to put it.
