Okay so this one might be cheating because it's not technically a movie, but you have to admit that this television special is a classic. It's the perfect TV movie for those who aren't looking to be scared. It originally aired in 1966, so the tale of the Great Pumpkin is sure to bring back plenty of nostalgia to all of the people that grew up with this special. No matter what, this movie will always remind you of the days of trick or treating, embarrassing costumes and an overload of candy. 4. Oculus
This is a dramatic switch from the family-friendliness of Charlie Brown, but it is a great for anyone looking for something new this Halloween. Released in 2013, Oculus is the story of two siblings, played by Karen Gillan and Brenton Thwaites, attempting to figure out if a mirror in their childhood home is haunted or if it's all in their head. The movie is so detailed and crazy that you might not know if what's happening on screen is really happening or not. But, the films suspense and scares are top notch, Oculus can easily be considered somewhat of a hidden gem on Netflix.
3. Scream
If you love all things 90's then Scream will be no exception. The 1996 film features classic 90's vibes while somehow never getting old. It's a movie that can be watched over and over, and it only gets better with each viewing due to its constant mix of gore and humor. Scream is your classic slasher flick, it's star being the infamous ghostface, with dozens of twists and turns throughout the two hours that any horror fan will be at the edge of their seat. No Halloween list would be complete without this Disney classic. If you haven't seen Hocus Pocus you've definitely heard about it from friends or people of Tumblr. But, basically everyone begins to freak out about this movie the second October arrives. It's the ultimate tale of witches and spells that would please any and every Halloween fan. You've seen Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the iconic Sanderson sisters who serve up an incredible amount of laughs and spooks, even horror fans will find themselves spellbound by this 1993 classic.
