Hooked on podcasts but not sure what to listen to next? Got into "Serial" but the real world is draining you? Fictional podcasts are coming back into style in a way reminiscent to the golden age of radio broadcasting, tailored for an on-demand, on-the-go experience. Even so, it can be dizzying trying to figure out where to begin when podcasting is becoming a bigger field than ever before. If you find yourself struggling to keep up with the millions of shows coming out every day, you aren't alone! Try checking out these five awesome serialized stories.

5. The Black Tapes

The Black Tapes podcast follows the story of investigative journalist Alex Reagan and her enigmatic compatriot Dr. Richard Strand. Alex is a woman who has left hard-hitting journalism to start an experimental study into the paranormal and occult. In her research she meets Strand, a widower who has devoted his life to disproving the existence of just that. However, in his long career Strand has collected a series of "black tapes" or cases he has been unable to disprove- yet. Together, Alex and Strand embark on a journey to further investigate the black tapes, Strand being on the side of science and logic, and Alex being the believer.

4. The Elysium Project

While The Elysium Project only consists of four episodes so far, I am already hooked. A mysterious corporation develops a drug that gives its users the ability to manipulate reality. A group of test subjects escape captivity and embark on a quest for their freedom. An isolated teen finds someone to share her secret life, and finally, vengeance is sought.

3. Welcome to Night Vale

Set in a small town where truth is stranger than fiction, Welcome to Night Vale is the show that made fandom and podcasting collide. Follow Cecil, an eccentric local news radio host, as he tells the creepy, impossible, and downright weird goings on in Night Vale. With an independent book to go along with the podcast, and live shows all over the world, you will have no shortage of content if you're still reeling from having only four episodes of The Elysium Project to cling to. Are angels real? Who is the Vague, Yet Menacing Government Agency? Where even is "King City" anyways? All that and more are found in Welcome to Night Vale.

2. Edict Zero - FIS

Are you into science fiction? Edict Zero - FIS may be the mystery for you. Millenia in the future, humans have relocated to a new world, where they have lived in relative peace ever since our Earth was destroyed. That is, until a terrorist sets off a bomb the likes of which have never been seen in a nightclub and somehow walked away alive, despite standing only feet from the blast. The Federal Investigative Services (FIS) hunt the mastermind to the deed, and unwittingly unearth ties to the very agencies meant that are pledged to serve and protect.

1. Wormwood

A strange vision leads occultist Dr. Xander Crowe to the town of Wormwood, where not all is as it seems. While the townspeople portray the perfect picture of small-town life, smiles and picket fences hide dark pasts, evil intentions, and hidden desires. Everyone has a secret, but some are more dangerous than others in Wormwood.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
