5 Doable New Year Resolutions
Pulpy Pics

It's that time of year we all start hearing the famous phrase, "New year, new Me!" And then from the other side of the crowd, you hear variations, (some harsher than others) of "Shut up already..." When that ball dropped in NYC, and when the star rose in Chicago, you've had to have at least one resolution you hope to accomplish within this new year. If you think yours is "impossible" to do, or maybe you might not even have one in mind, I'll give you a few ideas I think are quite possible.

Work out more.

I'm not saying to hit the gym once a day, because not everybody can make that a reality with their busy schedules. I am saying to just eat healthier, and hit the gym, or run outside at least once a week. Believe it or not, that one day per week will definitely make a difference.

Spend more time with the family.

When you go home for breaks, you can go a couple days without going out to drink with your friends, I'm sure. I know it's hard to remember sometimes, but these were the people who most likely believed in you when nobody else did. The least you can do, is at least spend actual time with them.

Do something new each month.

Ask yourself this question, and if the answer is more than a month or two, change that answer. Go try skydiving, go try new foods from places you've never even heard of, GO DO NEW THINGS. I'm not saying you have to love said things, but at least try them. They make great stories to tell not only your friends, but your possible future children.

Improve yourself.

This might be one of the most important resolutions anybody can have, but also the most forgotten. Work on yourself. Find out what makes YOU tick. You don't need anybody else to help you do that. Go out on dates with yourself, and enjoy yourself. Pay no mind to those who may snicker and laugh. They don't need to know what your intention for going out to lunch independently is. Once you do this, you'll find it that much easier to find another person who you are actually attracted to, both mentally and physically.

BE COURAGEOUS.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. GO LIVE LIFE.

Like I said these, are just a few ideas you can take if you don't have any idea of what you may want to change this year. make 2016 THAT year, instead of saying, "There's always next year." That's because tomorrow, let alone an entire new year, is never a guarantee. I wish all of you the happiest year, and God Bless!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
