A best friend -- a person who will always support you no matter what and will do anything for you to a certain extent. We all have that best friend or maybe even more than one. We all have done outrageous things for our best friends or go out of our way for our best friends.
Each our experiences with best friends is different and special. And these things mentioned might not be all crazy, but these are some of the things that best friends just do for us.
1. They stay up late watching Netflix with you whenever you're bored or don't want to leave your room.
Whenever you are bored, you know you can trust your best friend to come watch Netflix with you. You can count on your best friend to sit through episodes of "Sons of Anarchy" or "One Tree Hil" with you.
2. They will keep you company at 1 a.m. while you finish your homework in the library.
You can always count on your best friend(s) to lose sleep with you because you have a tremendous amount of homework to finish. They are either watching shows on their laptop while you study or they are making sure you are actually studying for your final tomorrow and not playing around.
3. They will read your short story, paper, journal, article, or screenplay without hesitation.
Sometimes it's tough to let someone read your stuff, but you know your best friend(s) will take time out of their day to read your screenplay or senior thesis. And they will even be honest with you on whether or not it is bad or good. Also, they will have no problem correcting any grammar or spelling errors.
4. They support your stupid ideas and hobbies, and the idiots you date even though they disapprove.
Your best friend(s) will be there when your stupid ideas or hobbies fall through. And they will be there when the idiot you date breaks your heart because your best friend(s) loves you.
5. Your best friend(s) will listen to you rant endlessly about your ex, your horoscope, your bad day, or your life.
You know you will always have your best friend there for three-hour talks about nothing and you know they are giving you their full attention even if they don't want to listen. It's because that's what best friends do.
So take this time to thank your best friend(s) for doing the crazy things that they do because they don't have to do it. Your best friend(s) do the things they do because they love you. And maybe one day they will walk through fire for you.
