As Christmas is approaching, people are starting to get gifts for all of their loved ones. If you have a friend or family member in college, this is the article for you. Let's be real here. There are a lot of things that college students want, but we usually don't have money to spare. Here's a list of potential gift ideas to give your college student.

1. Food

Yeah, meal plans exist, but snack are great to have in your dorm, especially during midterm and finals time. Plus, the cafeteria isn't open all hours of the day. When hunger strikes, it strikes hard.

2. Money

Personally, I prefer cash so I always know exactly how much I have, but gift cards are also a great idea for a college student. If you plan on getting a gift card for a college student, I would recommend getting it from a place that's close to them. Just know, we'll be grateful for anything.

3. Clothes

Especially comfortable clothes. Big t-shirts, leggings, and sweaters. We LOVE being comfortable when going to class. Jeans are cool, but they're irritating to be in all day.

4. Adult coloring books

These are my absolute favorite thing. They're really great for when you're taking a break from homeworking and studying. My mom bought me a couple floral ones earlier this year, and my aunt sent me Harry Potter themed ones a few weeks ago. I love them so much. I don't have much of a chance to color, but I always feel a little better when I do. Your college student will LOVE these.

5. Room Decor

Being in a dorm room is pretty bland. My room, before I moved in, was just white brick walls and an brown-orange floor. Some good ideas are: tapestry, Christmas lights, picture frames with their favorite photos, and other colorful decorations.
