5 Book Series That Need To Become Movies Or TV Shows

Five of some of my favorite book series that I have been waiting to see adapted for the big screen or television.

1. The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan (and Brandon Sanderson)

This will always be the book series that I want to make it onto a screen somehow. One of the reasons this series hasn't been turned into a movie is because these books have so much information. There would be no way to make the fans happy because of how much is packed into each book. The way to solve this problem however was shown to us by another great series of books. The Wheel of Time could very easily be turned into a television series much like Game of Thrones has been. As an added bonus, this fourteen book series has already been completed, there would be no worries about the television series catching up to the books too soon. Someone needs to make this one happen for me.

2. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

I, like most other people on this planet, try to forget that Eragon, the first book in this series, was already turned into a movie. I think that we need to give these books a second chance at the big screen. Maybe if they actually follow some of the major plot points in the book this time around we may actually see a movie that is enjoyable. Seriously though, these were some great books to read and I was so excited to learn that Eragon was being turned into a movie all those years ago. After they botched that movie, I was still into the book series and I doubt rebooting this could be any harder than rebooting Spiderman again.

3. The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan

I remember hearing some rumors a few months ago that this series may be adapted into a movie soon enough. I absolutely loved these books about seven years ago, and they had a solid story line that I felt could be easily adapted to a movie. I know that if this ever did become a movie I would definitely not be the targeted audience, though it would still make me very happy to see a book series that I thoroughly enjoyed being adapted to a movie. I would probably still go to see this movie because I have a bit of nostalgia for the series.

4. Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore

This is yet another series that has already flopped on the big screen. For those of you who don't remember the first book in this series was I Am Number 4. I don't want to see this head back to the big screen though. This is another series that I would like to see adapted for television. Part of my reasoning for this is because there are just too many characters to follow for a movie. Another reason is because I can see them doing an excellent job with this series on a network like the CW that has already shown that it can do a spectacular job with super powers and SciFi. This is also a completed series as of a couple months ago so it would be easy to plan where this series would go.

5. The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson

I have talked about this book series before and how it is possibly my new favorite series of books. So because of that I had to put it on this list, even though it only has two books completed out of the ten planned. This series, much like The Wheel of Time, would make an excellent replacement for Game of Thrones once they have their final season. I would hope that if this ever happened, which is really not likely, it would also encourage Brandon Sanderson to write focus on writing this series. This series would bring an interesting twist on magic powers to television and still keep the sword fighting and wars that everyone loves in Game of Thrones.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
