As the spring semester looms over us, a lot of us are trying to enjoy these last couple of days before we travel back to our college towns to continue our education. But, now is an excellent time for some last-minute rest and relaxation, and an excellent time to binge some great new shows. Here are five binge-worthy tv shows you should add to your watch list.

1. "End of the F**cking World"

I just finished this show a week ago, and I can honestly say I fell in love with it. The story follows a young boy from England named James, who claims he’s a psychopath and wants to move from killing animals to killing humans. Along comes Alyssa, a very loud, wild, yet surprisingly charming girl who takes an interest in James. Together, their adventures bring some crazy, vulgar, entertaining scenes that you won’t want to miss. This show manages to combine humor with romance with drama with some pretty interesting action scenes. And, since the episodes are only 15-20 minutes long, it’s the perfect one-night binge.

2. "Big Little Lies"

I have not seen this show myself, but it took many awards at the Golden Globes this year, winning Nicole Kidman best actress in a TV or Mini-series. The story follows three mothers of first graders lives’ as they navigate challenges much bigger than expected. Starring Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Alexander Skarsgard, it sure looks like an interesting show to binge. Plus, it has an incredible cast of badass women, so how bad could it be, right?

3. "The Marvelous Ms. Maisel"

As I write this, I’m actually about to start this show on Amazon, but this has also gotten a lot of buzz at the Golden Globes as well, winning two awards. The show stars Rachel Brosnahan as the 1950’s housewife Miriam “Midge” Maisel as she leaves her cozy life behind to become a stand up comedian. Again, I have not seen this show, but it has gotten great reviews and again features a powerful woman who follows her dreams against all odds. It would be a great watch in these last few days before break ends!

4. "Black Mirror"

A modern-day Twilight Zone, this show combines every weird theory regarding technology taking over the world and turned it into one wild TV show. I have only seen the first episode to this show, but let me say, it is strange. If you are looking for something dark, mysterious, and absolutely mind-blowing, then this is the show for you. It received an 8.9/10 on IMDB, and just recently released a fourth season, it’s a show you could continue watching well into the semester, and continue to have your mind blown. But, watch with caution, because this show can get pretty crazy.

5. "The Crown"

I just finished season two of this show, and it was incredible. I’m not normally a huge fan of anything following historical events or historical figures, but The Crown definitely surprised me. It follows the coronation and the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, throughout her personal struggles, the struggles of her family (including her sister, Princess Margaret), and the struggles surrounding England in the time of her reign. John Lithgow plays Winston Churchill, who makes an appearance in the first season. It sometimes is a little slow, but ultimately it’s extremely interesting and worth some binge-time. Claire Foy does an impeccable job bringing Queen Elizabeth II to the screen, and Matthew Smith (former Doctor Who) does beautifully playing her husband, Phillip. This is worth your time if you have it, for sure!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
