I don’t know if you have noticed but Netflix is going a little movie crazy lately, and I am happy. They literally have jacked up their on-demand movie queue and it has all the classics and then some. Plus they are also trying to include some more modern vibes. I decided to take their amazing surplus, and condense it into my favorite lists.
5. The Pacifier
Vin Diesel and Brittany Snow, before they were really famous. You saw it here first folks. This was by far the most hilarious movie of the 2000’s, and with these actors as uber famous people today. It’s nice to see what they were like before they got all famous. Maybe even discover, what made them that famous
4. Mona Lisa Smile
This is probably one of the most underrated Julia Roberts movies, but it crafts a compelling story about the value of females. Moreover, the lengths people went to in order to give us a valuable and more prominent role in society. I value the meaning and theme behind the piece and believe it’s a movie we all can learn from. Especially from the truly remarkable charm of Julia Roberts, Kristen Dunst, and Julia Stiles no less.
3. Daddy Day Care
This is one of the most iconic movies you will ever see. The cast was perfect and is the perfect balance between humorous and honest. While I may not be a dad/parent figure, I can tell that it was genuine attempt to capture the struggles of fatherhood.
2. Practical Magic
I watched this movie as a kid, and was super confused the whole time. However, once I watched it for real as an almost adult, I can appreciate the storyline more. I also recognize how messed up the sister’s actions were too.
1. 10 Things I Hate About You
The first time I watched this movie was actually on Netflix. The fact they included this classic coming- of age piece means everything. So naturally it was first on my top 5! It will definitely satisfy any teenage struggle fixes you have growing.
