After a long day of work, there’s really nothing more essential than a nice discounted drink and an app – i.e. a nice happy hour. But by the time you’ve located a nice place to sit down and relax, Happy Hour has probably already ended. Here’s your guide to some cheap and chill Happy Hours in Minneapolis so you won’t miss out on this crucial after-work experience.
1. Hen House Eatery
This Happy Hour is mainly exciting because it lasts from 2-7 p.m. during the week, so if you work later you can still participate. This includes $1 wine and beer, $3.50 rail drinks, along with $3 tall boys from 2-6, how great!
2. Red Cow
This could be the St. Paul Red Cow or the North Loop Red Cow – you decide. Not only do they have two Happy Hours: 3-6 pm and 10 – close, but their patio is bae and their cheese curds are seriously deadly. What more could you want than discounted cheese curds with triple berry ketchup? The answer to that is literally nothing.
3. Brit’s Pub
This HH is 4:30-6:30 p.m. and includes discounted wine, beer and food specials. What a beautiful combo! This HH also lasts a little longer, so if you work until 5 or 5:30, this gives you a little extra time to add another app or drink to your tab. It’s like they just know.
4. The Republic
If you’re looking to get the cheapest HH possible, this is a good option. The Happy Hour lasts 4-6 pm, 10 p.m.-midnight everyday and $3 rails. This is also on west bank, so it’s also way closer to campus if you need to get back for anything or just want to enjoy a quick and low key unwind time after work.
5. The Lowry
This option is pretty much bae when it comes to Happy Hour or dinner. The Lowry also has amazing cheese curds so if you’re into that this is another bomb option (side note: the cheese curds aren’t actually on the HH menu but to be honest that doesn’t really matter.) They also have HH from 4-7 p.m. every day and from 10 – close.
