Learning a foreign language can sometimes be a struggle for almost everybody. It takes time, dedication, and the dreaded homework that is dished out every night by your teacher. It may seem overwhelming as well times together with all the day to day activities.

It may seem like this at first but little did one know, that there are numerous benefits that one accumulates by learning a foreign like French ,German, Italian, Spanish among others.

So let's go back to the question big "Why learn another language?" Here are the 5 benefits that one accumulates while they are learning a new language.

1. Better Job Opportunites

In today's modern 21st century world, companies are expanding to various parts of the world, in order invest and make a marketable profit. The company employers are looking for more employees who not only know how to do the work but also employees who are know how to communicate in different languages.

2. New Cultures

Learning a new language educates individuals about the cultures of that language. Discovering new cultures enable one to become more knowledgeable about the various customs and traditions that are associated with that particular language.

3. Helps in Multi-tasking

Multi-tasking is one the principle benefits of learning a foreign language. It helps an individual change between two languages in order to complete a specific task. These tasks can range from translation all the way to socializing with people of two different languages.

4. New Friends

Getting to know new people from different countries is always fun for most people . It gives you the chance not only to exercise the various skills of that particular language but also enables you to know more about other people. The unique part about all of this is, is that it enables you to share memorable moments together with that person.

5. Improves Memory Capacity

Learning a new language improves your memory tremendously. It helps you accumulate a lot more vocabulary, grammar rules than any other time before. It also helps your memory know, when and where you should apply various skills pertaining to that particular language.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
