I love makeup, and I love watching makeup tutorials and videos on YouTube. They inspire me to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. The beauty community has thrived through Youtube, and these gurus have made an entire career out of this platform. If you're just starting out in makeup, or need some fresh ideas for a new look, YouTube is the place for you.
Here are my favorite beauty gurus on Youtube. These people inspire me to be my most beautiful and use makeup to express myself. I hope they do the same for you!
1. KathleenLights
KathleenLights is one of the sweetest and most genuine YouTubers I have found. She is sweet, adorable, and always keeps it real with her subscribers. She's done a ton of collabs with a bunch of brands, and they're all great. One of her best qualities is that she's not a professional makeup artist. She's just a girl who likes doing makeup, just like the rest of us.
2. NikkieTutorials
NikkieTutorials' channel is one of the oldest in the beauty community. She loves her full glam and encourages everyone to try something new and step outside of their comfort zone. Even though she loves her high-end makeup, Nikkie does try to suggest less-expensive options for those of us who can't afford a $60 foundation. Not to mention that her makeup is always flawless.
3. Jaclyn Hill
Jaclyn Hill is no rookie to the beauty world. She's been around the block and knows all of the best tips and tricks. She's extremely goofy and loves to let her sass take over, which makes watching her even more entertaining. Her makeup tutorials range from full glam to everyday no-makeup makeup looks. She also has created some of the best collabs, including the Champagne Pop highlighter with Becca Cosmetics and her new Morphe palette that will come out next month.
4. MannyMUA
There's always been a stigma against men in makeup, and MannyMUA definitely breaks it. He is not afraid to try a bold look and tell the haters to back off. He is also the first male spokesperson for Maybelline Cosmetics, which comes shortly after CoverGirl Cosmetics name their first CoverBoy, James Charles. He always keeps it real and fun in his videos, and shows that makeup is not a one size fits all.
5. Jeffree Star
I'll be the first to admit that Jeffree Star's look is a little unconventional, but that's what I love about him. He has his own cosmetics line, but doesn't throw shade on other brands if they're not as good as his. He loves to review luxury items and show how much money you could spend on cosmetics. Jeffree Star Cosmetics is also amazing, with their stunning liquid lipsticks and blinding Skin Frost highlighters.
These gurus are just a drop in the bucket compared to how many others there are out there. Find ones that cater to your personal style, but also try to be inspired to try new things. You never know what you might try next!
