As a girl in college who ends up spending her money on anything and everything, I know how hard it can be to save every penny for some extra spending cash, bills, and student loans (who really needs to adult, anyway?). Living in an era of technology has its perks -- especially when there are a few "life hacks" here and there as a result. While phone and tablet apps tend to be useful tools in everyday life, they come in handy even more when they're keeping your finances in check, too.
1. Level Money
Never worry about how much spending money you really have when it comes to pizza, new clothes or drinks on the weekend with friends. With Level Money, you can easily calculate just how much lenience you have when it comes to balancing the painful reality of bills and having a much needed "treat yo'self" day.
2. Mint
If you've ever had trouble with making your own budget that you know that you can stick to (and not just what you think or hope that you can stick to without really checking), fear no more. Mint keeps your finances and budgeting in check while recommending how much you make your personal spending limit in real time.
3. Bobby
Bobby is a clever app that keeps track of all of your digital subscriptions and allows you to add new ones. Spotify, Dropbox, and tons of other apps require paid subscriptions, which can be incredibly easy to lose track of. If you're thinking of cancelling a subscription before the next billing period, Bobby is the app for you. (Plus, the icon is a tiny squirrel, so where can you really go wrong here?)
4. LearnVest
Besides being a super organized app, LearnVest lets you set your own financial goals and work toward them on a day-by-day basis. You can add transactions while you're on the go, and read featured articles on how to keep saving the money that you're making.
5. Prosper Daily
A personal favorite of mine, Prosper Daily is a sleek way to stay on top of every purchase that you make. Keep all of your accounts there, look at budgeting graphs and make sure that your accounts are secure, all in one place. The design of this app makes it easy to follow everything without getting lost, while managing to keep everything in order at the same time.
All of these apps are free on the iOS app store. Happy saving!
