5 Of My All Time Beauty Favorites

I'm not too crazy about beauty products, but these are my must haves.

5 Of My All Time Beauty Favorites

While I'm not usually into makeup, fashion, or what's "hot", I do have favorites that I go back to time and time again. You know, the things that I just can't live without. I've accumulated many over the years, here are my top 5.

(P.S; I'm not being paid by any of these companies or brands. I just really love these products.)

1. Summer's Eve Freshening Spray

This is a year-round must. I'm probably gonna go into TMI right now, but by mid-day, in-between my thighs gets a bit sweaty and no so fresh. I always keep a can in my purse and its great on sensitive skin.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo

There are many different brands of dry shampoo, but Batiste is the best I've tried. My hair is thick, curly, and oily. All of the scents are pleasant, cleans well, and isn't heavy. They're also decently priced.

3. IT Cosmetics CC+ Full Coverage Cream

I have psoriasis (an auto-immune system condition that causes large, scaly plaques of skin) and the most sensitive skin. I've tried dozens of different foundations and this is by far the best. Not only is it gentle on my skin, it's good for it! This brand is also good for skin that is prone to redness.

4. Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray Oil-Control

Living in the South, your makeup can melt off on a hot day. This setting spray not only helps your makeup stay on, but it helps control oiliness. It's also light-weight, smells great, and dries quickly.

5. NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream

I love wild, crazy colors when it comes to makeup. Especially lip color; this line by NYX is my absolute favorite. It comes in 12 awesome, sparkly shades. It's smooth, hydrating, and easy to remove. If you wanna add a little shine to your day, this is the way to go.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
