44 Things To Love About Summer
Charlotte Mango

Every college kid has a few things they want to do and a few places they want to go when they get home from college, especially in the summer. We all also have those little things we appreciate the most. Some of us may have some may have similar or the same things that we want to see and do. But for me some of the little things we witness regularly or semi regularly, are the best things. I think for the most part we can agree that the best parts of summer are:

1. Rainstorms

2. Sweet Corn

3. Lemonade, with the freshest lemons

4. Meals outside

5. In season fresh fruit: peaches are my favorite

6. Sun tans!

7. Hair gets lighter

8. Water activities

9. Did I mention rain storms?

10. Ice cream trucks

11. Sandal season

12. Fishing

13. Early sunrises

14. Late sunsets

15. Bike riding

16. Sleeping in

17. Campfires

18. 'SMORES

19. Watermelon

20. Rainstorms are 10 times better, especially at night

21. Time with friends

22. Beach time

23. Slip and slides come out

24. Iced tea and Iced coffee

25. Amusement parks

26. Time with friends

27. Concerts in parks

28. Hikes are better

29. Again, Rainstorms?

30. Drives with the sun roof open or convertible roof open

31. Long walks in the park

32. Drive-In Movie theaters

33. Long walks on the beach

34. Tie dying outside

35. Archery

36. Cookouts

37. No snow

38. Grad parties for underclassmen friends

39. Water parks

40. Binge watching series on Netflix

41. Home cooked meals

42. Boating

43. Going to lakes

and last but not least

44. Showering in your own shower without shoes

You may have more but these are my top 44.

Happy summer!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
