You've been preparing for the storm all week. The weather channels can't agree on how much snow you're actually going to get, but the numbers are high. You go to the store to pick up a few things, but it's too late. The bread and milk aisles have already been cleared out. You manage to grab the last few cans of chicken noodle soup and get through the crazy check out lines. Now all that's left to do is wait and see what happens.
When you wake up the next morning the snow is so high you cant see where the road is. It's still coming down pretty hard and you realize you're not going anywhere for a while. Now what? If you're anything like me, you love having a nice day in, but sitting on the couch for hours just doesn't have the same appeal it used to. Here are a few things you can do to make the most of your snow day(s):
1. Shovel your car out
2. Clean your room
3. Clear out your emails
4. Read a book
5. Call your friend you haven't talked to in a while
6. Make cookies
7. Make a nice dinner
8. Watch that movie you've been wanting to see
9. Catch up on your favorite shows
10. Do a face mask
11. Paint your nails
12. Paint something you found on Pinterest
13. Knit a scarf
14. Take a bath
15. Reorganize your closet
16. Clean out your closet
17. Break out some old board games
18. Do some online shopping
19. Re-shovel
20. Do a puzzle
21. Build some Legos
22. Go sledding
23. Play Mario Kart
24. Build a snow man
25. Watch Frozen
26. Build a fort in your living room
27. Make home made marshmallows
28. Make snow ice cream
29. Throw boiling water outside and watch it freeze
30. Make plans for when you can actually leave your house
31. Have a snowball fight
32. Take a bunch of BuzzFeed quizzes
33. Read some Odyssey articles
34. Have some hot chocolate
35. FaceTime your friends from school
36. Play cards
37. Clean out the fridge
38. Do a cross word puzzle
39. Finally do that update your computer keeps telling you to do
40. Shovel... again.
While being super productive is great and rewarding, remember that it's also okay to just sit back and watch the snow come down while snuggled under a cozy blanket.
