There is not a person in this world that can replace your mother. She loves you more than anyone else and puts you before any one else. There are so many more reasons to thank your mother than just these 40, but these are just a few things that we often forget to thank our moms for. I love you mom. Thank you for loving me, too.

1. Thank you for having me.

2. Thank you for wiping my nose and my tears.

3. Thank you for finding all the things that I have ever lost.

4. Thank you for staying awake at night so that I could sleep.

5. Thank you for washing my clothes.

6. Thank you for tying my shoes and teaching me how to tie my shoes.

7. Thank you for reminding me that it is okay to be human.

8. Thank you for allowing me to make my own mistakes.

9. Thank you for forgiving those mistakes and teaching me how to forgive others.

10. Thank you for taking me to school every morning until I could drive.

11. Thank you for being a supermom and making it to all of mine and my brother's games and school events.

12. Thank you for all the wonderful home cooked meals.

13. Thank you for sitting at all those ballgames and watching me cheer.

14. Thank you for helping me with my homework.

15. Thank you for always encouraging me to do my best.

16. Thank you for putting me and my brother first every single day.

17. Thank you for listening to endless vents and drama and giving me advice to fix it.

18. Thank you for providing me with boundaries and rules to follow.

19. Thank you for punishing me when I broke those rules.

20. Thank you for telling me no, even when it was hard for you.

21. Thank you for encouraging me when I did something right.

22. Thank you for dealing with all my tantrums and not killing me when I talked back.

23. Thank you for teaching me how to be honest.

24. Thank you for holding me and telling me that everything will be okay.

25. Thank you for giving me a sense of self-worth.

26. Thank you for never ever giving up on me.

27. Thank you for protecting me.

28. Thank you for knowing me better than I know myself.

29. Thank you for giving me the space to grow into the person I need to be.

30. Thank you for inspiring me.

31. Thank you for teaching me self-respect and respect for other people.

32. Thank you for teaching me morals and values.

33. Thank you for teaching me how to be a lady/gentleman.

34. Thank you for showering me in unconditional love and care.

35. Thank you for challenging me to be a better person.

36. Thank you for not telling Daddy everything I’ve ever done.

37. Thank you for being and doing your best to make me happy.

38. Thank you for all the sacrifices you’ve made to be my mom.

39. Thank you for being my everything: my nurse, my teacher, my counselor, my best friend, my mentor and my mother.

40. Thank you for being you, and for being the mother that I hope I can be for my own children one day.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
