I’ve never been a big fan of wearing makeup, as maybe you’ve read in my previous article; but as I’ve ventured into the makeup world, I started viewing it from a more objective standpoint, wondering where it’s from, how it’s made, on what do they test it. I admire makeup artists, as well as a lot of my friends who can really do their makeup like one; however, I’ve noticed that there is a bigger focus on the makeup’s quality and how drugstore brands compare to Sephora brands, while ignoring the actual production of the product.
Most people are ignoring the fact that the “best” and BIGGEST drugstore makeups test on animals: Almay, CoverGirl, L’Oreal, Maybelline, Revlon, Rimmel London. The biggest companies on the more expensive spectrum also do their testing on animals: Lancome, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Benefit, Estee Lauder, Clinique, the Sephora brand, Bobbi Brown, Stila. There are many others, but we are here to concentrate on the companies that don’t apply harsh chemicals to innocent and unsuspecting animals.
