We can all agree that a week secluded in paradise is absolute bliss, however, it depends on who you are with. Family vacations can be the best of times or the worst of times. It all depends on how you handle your blissful week in paradise. Here are 4 ways to turn a prison sentence into an actual vacation everyone can enjoy.

1. PICK YOUR BATTLES

So you're getting ready for dinner and your sister walks out wearing your favorite shirt You're about ready to rip her head off when you realize it's a battle that can wait for another day. You put the issue aside and find out that if you just compromise with your family yo could have a nice dinner. Battles like that can wait until you get home, not when you're stuck in a city for 7 days together.

2. DON'T BE EMBARRASSED

Teenagers often get embarrassed when they are out with their family. You are on vacation in a city where you know no one. You will never see these people again so what does it matter? Let your dad tell the bellhop embarrassing stories about you. It's not like he can tell anyone you know.

3. PUT THE PHONE DOWN

In today's society, it is easy to stay connected online for hours, but if you do that what is the point of vacation? You go to the beach to relax and have fun. You go to get away from your stressful life. All the phone will do is distract you from all of the fun you could be having with your family!

4. IF YOU THINK YOU'RE TOO OLD FOR THAT... YOU'RE PROBABLY NOT

RIDE GO KARTS WITH YOUR LITTLE BROTHER. GET HAIR WRAPS AND HENNAS WITH YOUR LITTLE SISTER. YOLO!!!! So what if you feel too old? You're on vacation, have fun!!! Embrace your inner child.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
