Pinterest is, in many ways, vastly different from other social media platforms. What it does have in common with sites like Instagram, Tumblr, and Facebook, however, is that you can tell a lot about what kind of person someone is by what they post.
If you're anything like me, your Pinterest account is probably brimming with miscellaneous crafts, recipes, self and home improvement, inspirational quotes, organizational tips-- the the list goes on. But, with the vast number of subjects one can explore on Pinterest, what do the boards you choose say about who you are? Below are four of some of the most common types of people I've noticed on Pinterest.
1) The Mom
Whether they actually have children or are just the "mom" of their friend group, this Pinterester spends her time sniffing out all things useful. From clever ways to pack a lunch to the most creative organizational tips the internet has to offer, the Pinterest mom is always on top of things. These multitasking fiends mke us all jealous of how easy they make it look to actually pull off DIYs they pin, which brings us to our next Pinterest personality...
2) The "DIY"-er
Chances are if you've heard of Pinterest, you've heard of its reputation for infamously difficult DIYs. While the step by step photos make it look easy, most people who try these supposedly quick fixes fail. This is what makes our second Pinterest personality so mysterious. We all know that one person who makes crafts seem like a cinch while the rest of us crash and burn if we find ourselves anywhere near construction paper and a hot glue gun. So how do these DIY-ers do it? The world may never know.
3) The Workout Junkie
Speaking of Pinterest users who make the rest of us envious with how easy they make everything look-- our third personality is the workout junkie. I'm sure all of us in our time on Pinterest have at one point or another created a workout board, but these fitness fans outshine the rest of us with not one, but often several boards devoted to keeping in shape. A board for for cardio, one for weight training-- you name it, they've pinned it.
4) The Wedding Planner
Whether their S.O. has popped the question or they're single but making plans for someday, one of the most common types of user I've noticed on Pinterest is the wedding planner. When it comes all matters matrimony, there's no need for a professional wedding planner when you yourself can become one with the help of Pinterest's innumberable guides, charts, graphs, and budget tools for all things wedding. When it comes to kinds of people using Pinterest, the wedding planner really takes the cake.
