We all have our different talents, hobbies, things we're generally good at. In college, we are told to chose a major that will eventually turn into a career we believe will take us far in life, be rewarding and enjoyable (or just earn a decent living to buy those annual passes to theme parks we never got to have as children). As young impressionable adults, we are entrusted this newly gained freedom to chose which major we feel we are the most passionate about. Once a student makes the choice in major, almost always there is some teasing from peers and others with regard to our selection. For me, I chose a degree centered around botany or the study of plants. Here are a couple of things that make me shake my head

1. How's it going Farmer ------?

Really? You couldn't think of anything more original than that? I think that's my biggest cringe worthy question. My degree is worth more than just being called a farmer.

2. Is this plant THIS plant?

My favorite- Is this bamboo looking plant a bonsai plant? No fam, it's not.

3. Can you help me weed?

Sorry ma'am, my major didn't exactly certify me to be the "master weeder"

4. Oh hey, what plant is good for indoor spaces?

Uh, any small plant can be deemed an indoor plant...

Now these don't bother me all the time, just a couple of times. I know people don't always mean to come across as unnerving but it happens.
