Dear mom,
I know handling a job, two kids, one in private, one in college and our ever so expensive lifestyle can sometimes drive you to the end of your rope, but thank you for your relentless love and support through it all. I could not think of a more heroic and inspirational woman to have been chosen to be my mom. You make me work harder and love deeper.
Thank you for all that you do and for all that you have taught me. From the valuable life lessons to the silly memories, you have helped me become who I am and have shaped the woman I am today. Here are four things that you always remind me while I am at school, and I could not be more appreciative.
1. Teaching me that sometimes the hard way is the better way
Always finish the difficult chores first, rip the Band-Aid off and make sure the not so fun things get done first. This has helped me develop a work ethic and work hard.
2. Never think less of yourself because you failed the first time
You have taught me to take a deep breath and try it again. I am worth it and I am proud to be me.
3. The number on the scale means nothing
Your happiness is all that matters, so eat that french fry and revel in it.
4. Never marry someone who doesn’t like dinner parties
Also, make sure you and your partner know how to host. This is very important.
Thank you, Mom. For everything.
