Last week, I spent four nights in the beautiful city of Boston. Since this was my first time here, I decided to hit up all the popular spots for tasty vegan fare! Boston certainly did not disappoint, neither in the beauty of the city nor in the tastiness of the food! Here are four vegan/mostly vegan restaurants that I absolutely recommend you try next time you come to Boston. Whether you're vegan or not, these restaurants will take your taste buds for quite the ride!

1. VO2 Vegan Cafe - 1001 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA

Taco Salad - Salad topped with tofu scramble, corn chips, nacho cheese, beans, and pico de gallo

Just look at the presentation of this food! This all-vegan cafe near Harvard University is an absolute gem. It has a wonderful menu that includes sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and more. The cafe is also very quaint and a great place to do homework or relax.

2. Veggie Galaxy - 450 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA

Stuffed French Toast - Vanilla vegan cream cheese, topped with caramelized banana butter, strawberry sauce, maple syrup, and powdered sugar

Tomato-Basil Soup With Tofu Croutons

Veggie Galaxy is an absolutely wonderful vegetarian/mostly vegan diner in Cambridge, MA. The menu consists of breakfast foods, burgers, soup, salads, and desserts--typical diner fare, of course. If you're interested in grabbing a bite at a very down-to-earth and casual restaurant, Veggie Galaxy is the place for you.

3. My Thai Vegan Cafe - 3 Beach St (Second Floor), Boston, MA (Chinatown)

Vietnamese Noodle Dish - Veggie beef and tofu stir-fried with vegetables and rice noodles with fresh bean sprouts and steamed dumplings

Soup That Came With Meal - Celery, tomatoes, and tofu

My Thai Vegan Cafe is an all-vegan restaurant located in Chinatown. I went here for lunch and was able to strike a great deal with the "Luncheon Specials" (which are offered from noon-3 PM on Monday-Friday, except on holidays--though, they let me order from the lunch special menu around 11 AM). The cost for lunch is only $7.95 if you order from this menu. The menu is very interesting as it features plant-based versions of beef, chicken, shrimp, duck, scallops, squid, and fish. This is definitely the perfect place for a meat or seafood lover who is willing to branch out and try vegan versions of these foods, or for a vegan who is craving the taste of any of the aforementioned foods!

4. FoMu Ice Cream - 655 Tremont St (Multiple locations throughout Boston)

Brownie Sundae - Malt ice cream, peanut butter ice cream, caramel sauce, white chocolate chips, chai pecans, coconut whipped cream, and brownie

FoMu is one of the best ice cream shops I have ever set foot in! It has some of the creamiest, richest ice cream I've ever tasted, which is due to the coconut base used in all its ice cream. The combination of all the flavors made this dessert absolutely delectable and irresistible. FoMu has three permanent locations throughout Boston and offers a variety of desserts, from ice cream to baked goods. I don't care if it's winter time--every day is a day for ice cream.

This is just a sampling of the vegan fare offered in Boston! Although this article gives you an idea of some vegan food here in Boston, you need to experience it yourself! If you're interested in seeing more delicious and aesthetically pleasing vegan food, go ahead and follow me on Instagram!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
