1. Julia Nunes, “Make Out”
If you don’t know who she is, look her up now. You won’t regret it. “Make Out” is the perfect welcome song for fall -- bouncy, happy, carefree, free-spirited. Imagine yourself jumping into a large pile of autumn-colored leaves. Yep, this is what this song feels like.
2. Andy Grammer, “Fresh Eyes”
Another happy, hopelessly romantic song that truly captures the love-spirited nature of fall. It’s the perfect song for a date night in October, walking into a room with string lights and lanterns all around you. You can’t help but smile, looking at the world with brand new -- “fresh” -- eyes.
3. Yuna, “Hold On We’re Going Home”
A softer, more acoustic take on Drake’s hit song. Y’all know how much I love Drizzy, but Yuna is a queen. Her songs are the perfect soundtrack for October, especially this one. Great for a lazy, chill-out afternoon, sipping tea in your plaid pajamas. I am so ready for fall.
4. Feist, “Mushaboom”
Definitely grittier than the rest of the songs I’ve mentioned, but still captures fall’s soft, chill aesthetic. I’ve always been a fan of Feist’s quirky, introspective style, both lyrically and musically. “Mushaboom” is one of my favorites, and the perfect addition to your fall playlist.
