Typically, when we think of Halloween, we think of going door to door to say "trick-or-treat" to get free candy that may not necessarily be very healthy for us to consume. However, I've managed to come up with a list of four simple and sweet fall treats that you can enjoy without worrying about having to run out to the store to get an entire bag of candy in order to satisfy your trick-or-treaters! Don't worry, these treats won't make you come off as that house. Actually, with these treats, you'll most likely be known as the one house everyone absolutely has to go to on Halloween night!

1. Chocolate covered apple slices.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to the one girl who brought these with her to my friend's birthday party a little while back! To recreate them, just cut an apple into circular-shaped slices, insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each one, dip the slices into some melted chocolate (hint: dark chocolate helps to create the perfect balance of sweetness), top them with some smaller sweets (e.g. chocolate chips, shredded coconut, etc.), put them into the fridge to set, and enjoy!

2. Caramel covered apple slices.

Again, super simple! Just cut an apple into slices, dip those slices into some melted caramel, top them with some mini candies, and enjoy!

3. Peanut butter celery sticks.

A classic favorite (often referred to as "Ants on a Log"), these probably require the least amount of effort to create. Simply spread some peanut butter onto some celery sticks, add some chocolate chips for a touch of sweetness, and enjoy!

4. Nutella covered strawberries.

I never saw the appeal with Nutella. That is, at least not until I tried it on beignets and strawberry slices at the Omelette Bar right across from UCF! I've tried melting alreadypackaged chocolate melts, but Nutella wins my taste buds overall. It's super smooth, is the perfect combination of milk chocolate and hazelnut, and comes all ready to be twirled on some sweet and healthy strawberries! You can even heat it up in a microwave-safe bowl to literally heat up the intensity of the taste!

Okay, so maybe these treats aren't entirely healthy, but they're definitely super sweet, simple, and different from the norm! Bring these to your next party, and you'll definitely leave feeling surprised that you had so many takers! Make sure not to leave them outside your front door, though. You definitely don't want the first trick-or-treater who comes by to steal them all for themselves.

Trust me, that will happen with these babies.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
