I can remember the night perfectly. I was a senior in high school and it was a cold night in February. I didn’t have school the next day, so I decided to stay up later than normal. I was flipping through the channels on my TV in search of NBC because all week I had seen advertisements for the premiere of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." I had heard Jimmy’s name before, but I didn’t know what he was all about, so I decided to take the chance and watch his talk show. And it definitely did not disappoint. Here are four reasons why everyone should be a Jimmy Fallon fan.
1. "The Tonight Show."
After that first night of watching "The Tonight Show," I couldn’t get enough of watching Jimmy. From his Thank You Notes to Word Sneak and Pictionary to Egg Russian Roulette, "The Tonight Show" always has everyone laughing. Jimmy’s funny games and hilarious monologues never disappoint and his guests are always interesting and fun. The Tonight Show is also an awesome way to relax. If you have an interview coming up or maybe a big test watch Jimmy clips to help calm your nerves. I recommend a lip sync battle, but any "Tonight Show" clip will work.
2. His bromance with Justin Timberlake.
Another reason to be
a Jimmy Fallon fan is the fact that he has such a close relationship with
Justin Timberlake. Whether they appear on SNL together or tweet at each other
on Twitter, their bond definitely screams friendship goals. And finally, their
history of rap songs are always fire.
3. Jimmy on SNL.
After watching "The Tonight Show" and loving it, I had to go back and watch Jimmy on "Saturday Night Live." Once again, I was not disappointed. The way Jimmy gets so into his characters make all of his skits and weekend update hilarious. Even when he breaks character, Jimmy is still so funny, and he reminds us that like all of us he’s not perfect and he is a fun-loving guy.
4. The Tonight Dough.
Even if you don’t think Jimmy’s games are funny on "The Tonight Show," or his bromance with JT is lame, or even if you despise SNL, then you can still love Jimmy for the delicious, sweet, and irresistible Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor based on his show. If you’ve never had the life-changing experience of consuming (and probably finishing an entire pint) The Tonight Dough then you are seriously missing out. The chocolate and caramel ice creams filled with normal cookie dough as well as peanut butter cookie dough and chocolate swirls is something everyone will love.
