Hillary Clinton has become the official Democratic nominee for the 2016 presidential election. Honestly, I have no idea how. Many claim the system is completely rigged and at times I'd agree with them. I have been against Hillary from the beginning of her campaign, and it's not just because I'm a Republican. I take pride in being a member of the Republican Party, but I also take pride in being able to think for myself. I am not a Republican because my parents are Republican, I am a Republican because I have researched the principles, morals, and ethics of both parties and found mine to match closer with the right side than the left. I am not one of those Republicans who only votes Republican. Though only being 19 and this being my first presidential election I'm allowed to participate in, I know in my heart that if there were a Democratic nominee I thought better suited for the position of President of the United States, I would vote for them. In this presidential election, I find it crucial to educate everyone on why we as the American people should not stand and support Hillary Clinton.
1. She says she's for women's rights, but is she really?
I'll make it simple, the answer to that question is no. Hillary Clinton has been advocating for women's rights ever since I can remember. But, I ask one question to Mrs. Clinton, what about the rights of Juanita Broaddrick? One of the numerous women your husband sexually assaulted. Does she not have rights simply because she held the power to end your husbands career? When the allegations surfaced of Bill assualting Broaddrick back in 1978, what did you do to ensure her rights as a woman and as a human? Absolutely nothing. You simply did everything you could to silence her and make sure to keep your sick husbands record clean. Just in case that name doesn't ring a bell Mrs. Clinton, perhaps the name Thomas Alfred Taylor can job your memory. Remember him? The man who violently raped a 12 year old girl in 1975 that YOU helped get out of any criminal charges. She was 12 years old and her innocence was not only stolen once but twice. First by Taylor and secondly by you, for not standing up and doing your job as a women's rights activist- so you claim. If I ever have a daughter, I hope I will not have to inform her that Hillary Clinton was the first woman president because to me, Mrs. Clinton, you are not a woman. You are a spineless coward who will do whatever you need to do to get a vote. That is NOT the kind of woman I want my future daughter to look up to.
2. She simply disregards and blatenly disrespects the members of the United States Armed Forces.
Mrs. Clinton, does the names Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Christopher Stevens ring a bell in your tiny, deceiving brain? Because to me, they are a perfect reminder of why we as Americans should never put the safety of America into your hands. In case you can't recall why I am mentioning these four names, I'll gladly fill you in. These four brave Americans are dead because of you. Due to your mishandling of classified information, these four men are no longer alive to see their families. Due to your reckless and ignorant mistakes, these men are no longer able to serve the country they, just like millions of other Americans including myself, love so dearly. Not only is it heartbreaking enough that these men are dead because of you, you can't set aside your pride long enough to issue a sincere apology to the families of these men. Instead of owning up to your mistake and doing everything in your power to make this tragedy a little easier on the families, you get on national television and blame the deaths of these men on a YouTube video. Seriously Hillary? It amazes me that you're that big of a bigot to not even give one ounce of sympathy or regret. If we can't trust classified information with you, we sure as heck can't trust you to be the leader of this country.
3. She has traded her morals and everything she stands for, simply for votes.
I'm not quite sure if you actually have a problem remembering what you stand for or if you just actually don't care that you make an utter fool of yourself by changing your morals every time the wind blows. You stand for women's rights but you accept campaign donations for foreign countries who treat their women as second class citizens. In 2000, you stated "I think a marriage is as a marriage has always been, between a man and a woman" but now you're defending the LGBT community and supporting safe zones because "words hurt". You even went to the extreme lengths to give a tv interview and support "positive gangs". If you ever read this Hillary, I would just like to tell you that I actually think I lost brain cells from watching that interview. The idea of positive gangs is absurd. The whole point of a gang is violence. It's what they take pride in. Instead of getting on national television and advocating for positive gangs like the complete moron you are, you should've advocated for mothers and fathers to show their children attention, to love them and care for them, to discipline them and make them into honorable citizens. I have to applaud your efforts though, at least you can say you tried to get the gang population vote. Next time, please try to use your Yale education to your benefit.
4. She plays the victim card entirely too much.
As a woman, I do not see myself as a victim. Unlike you, Mrs. Clinton, instead of protesting to be handed what I think I deserve, I believe in going out and working hard to receive what I know I deserve. You recently gave an equal rights speech in a $12,000 Armani pant suit (please, do us all a favor and stop with the pant suits). You spoke about how citizens need to put ourselves into the shoes of less fortunate citizens and understand their struggle. There are quite a few problems with that statement Mrs. Clinton. The most obvious being that you yourself are one of the most privileged citizens in America. You've never had to struggle, you've never known how your going to make ends meet because you've always had a safety net. You helped give your daughter a well paying job ($900,000 a year to be exact) right out of college. Do not get on television and tell me that I need to understand their struggle while you've never had to understand any kind of struggle in your life. I don't believe in acting like a victim, no one is a victim to their circumstances. Everyone has an opportunity to better themselves, it all depends on whether they want to or not. I understand that I have been given a fairly easy life compared to most. But it wasn't given to me because I'm white, it was given to me because my parents have busted their tails every day of my life to provide for me and to instill that same work ethic into me. My "privilege" wasn't given, it was earned because I've never had parents who give up when times get tough.
So, Mrs. Clinton, I pray every single night that I will not have to remember you as the first female President of the United States. I would love to have a female president because I do believe that a woman is just as qualified and some even more qualified to be POTUS than a man, but not you. I want to see someone with Nancy Reagan's poise and grace, someone with Princess Diana's patience and genuine love for people, someone with the determination of Armelia Earheart, the independence and strong mindedness of Annie Oakley, and someone who believes in what they're fighting for and never sways even in the face of adversity such as Rosa Parks. All of these notable characteristics you do not posses Mrs. Clinton. I love America with every fiber of my being and I don't believe in being patriotic just on the 4th of July, but every single day of the year. And I refuse to sit back and watch you destroy this nation. I will NEVER be with you.
Sincerely,
a pissed off "privileged" college Republican
