When searching for new athletic clothes, it’s often easy to spend more than you realize.
I know I have more athletic clothes than I need, yet I keep buying them and do not see an end to my obsession. In trying to watch how much I spend, I look for good quality, but more affordable athletic clothes at a variety of stores.
The following are four places that I go to when looking for new athletic clothes, but on a college student-friendly budget.
1. Target
One of my favorite things to buy at Target are their sports bras. They come in every style that you want and a variety of colors. They are reasonably priced, and you can also find some nice tank tops or shirts to go with them.
2. Old Navy
Old Navy is a great place to get some fun athletic shorts and tank tops for your summer workouts. Due to lots of sales and deals at Old Navy, you can find your favorite styles at great prices.
3. Gap
The best place to buy leggings. The original prices for them can be a little more on the expensive side, but Gap has sales all the time and it is rare to have to pay full price for anything if you time it right. All the leggings that I have bought from there have lasted so long and were the best quality.
4. Marshall’s/TJMaxx
My all-time favorite store for any clothes, but I especially love the athletic section. I can get lost in that part of the store for hours before being dragged out by whoever is shopping with me. I’ve bought every kind of athletic apparel and loved it all. I’ve found many name brands here at a great discount and I’ve also found some great things to wear to yoga class as well.
Don’t think that you have to spend a lot of money to find high quality and fashionable athletic clothes. Try one of these stores and your bank account will thank you, but you won't be cutting back on fashion.
