This past year has been one of the toughest years of my life, but when I feel myself getting depressed or worrying about little things that happen in my life and with all the struggles that happen, I remember videos like these that kept me going no matter what.
I keep these saved for a rainy day, in case I find myself in need of some inspiration. A few of them I have their audio files so I can listen to them on my MP3 player throughout each of my playlists and it gives me a random spunk that reminds me of my purpose and motivates me throughout the day.

This is an important video to me because it made me realize that there's more to life than we ever thought. So many people, myself included, are so worried about whether they see life as half full or half empty, but we never really get a chance to open our eyes and remember that life itself is beautiful.
Whenever I see myself looking at the things in my life and nitpicking aspects of my friends, family, significant others, and overall life choices, I see myself quoting, "it's a beautiful glass" and that makes me remember that life is a miracle and I am blessed for everything that I have. So many people our ages never made it this far... Don't let their loss become your loss too. Rise up and take every day like it's the miracle that it is.

When you set a purpose for yourself and you strive to be the best that you can be, yet you find obstacles in the way or you find that you struggle with finding motivation to push yourself to your limits, this is where you get it. If you woke up believing that you are the best that you could be, then you will work harder and do better to show everyone that you are exactly that.

Beautiful spoken word piece about social media and technology causing people to shut down and isolate themselves from each other by being busy with social media. I find myself being guilty of using my phone so much, but since I've seen this video, I find myself putting it away more often than the people around me.
For example, when I'm eating with other people I never take my phone out because I'd rather use that time for face to face social interaction. When I do take out my phone, it's usually because the other person(s) I'm with is/are on their phone and I begin to use it as a mirror image of what they're doing. Sometimes when I do this, I will blatantly ignore the person I'm with so they get the same effect that I get when they have their phone out when I want to talk with them.
It helps them realize how hurtful it actually is, making you feel like you're less important than what's on Snapchat or Facebook.

I will always come back to this speech. Charlie Chaplin stars in "The Great Dictator," a satire of Adolf Hitler and his reign in Nazi Germany. This speech reminds me how beautiful the world is and how messed up all these power struggles and greedy people can be. It also gives me the strength to grab my purpose and strive to change the world with it. I have the audio for this video in every one of my playlists so I can be rushed with inspiration every time it comes on. It makes me want to go out and make a difference in every thing I do.
