38 Things You Should Probably Thank Your Boyfriend For

Let's face it, some of us can be hard to love sometimes. As females, it's in our nature to be overdramatic sometimes and cry over nothing that seems like everything at the time. Sometimes I overreact so much for so little, that I don't understand why my boyfriend would voluntarily love me unconditionally and choose to put up with me. So this one goes out to all the boyfriends who go without recognition for putting up with all the incredibly frustrating things that girls do.

Here're 38 things you should thank your boyfriend for more often.

1. Taking you out on dates.

2. Paying for those dates, no matter how expensive.

3. Letting you choose the location of the date, even if he’s tired of having Olive Garden every time.

4. Gossiping with you about the girl you hate at work, even though he has no idea who she is.

5. Cheering you up when your world is “falling apart.”

6. Telling you that you’re the most gorgeous girl he’s ever laid eyes on, even though you haven’t showered or worn makeup in three days.

7. Wanting to show you off to the world, even rocking a messy bun, leggings and an over-sized tee.

8. For not panicking or getting mad when you disappear in Target for two hours when you said you only needed tampons.

9. And then ordering you your favorite drink from Starbucks.

10. For accompanying you to the mall and struggling to give you an acceptable opinion on everything you try on. (Even though he’s saying you look pretty in everything so you guys can leave.)

11. For putting up when you cry over anything. Blair and Chuck break up again? Cry. When he surprises you with coffee and donuts? Cry.

12. For complying with your constant need for attention.

13. For not losing his cool when he asks you what you want for dinner and you say "I don’t care" but shoot down all his suggestions.

14. For putting up with your constant indecisiveness.

15. Listening to Justin Bieber on replay all day every day.

16. Dealing with your drama queen tendencies.

17. Playing with your hair.

18. Speaking of hair, finding your hair all over everything he owns. (And I mean everything.)

19. For being your knight in shining armor and always killing the spider.

20. For letting you hog the entire blanket.

21. Watching "Harry Potter" marathons every weekend.

22. For not thinking you’re gross when you haven’t shaved for two weeks.

23. Or for not saying anything about your Chewbacca legs.

24. For disagreeing with you when you say some girl is prettier than you.

25. For being a cuddle maniac.

26. Watching the Netflix series you want to watch ("Gossip Girl," of course), even though he’d rather watch "Always Sunny In Philadelphia."

27. Waiting to start a new episode even though you already watched several without him.

28. For suffering through taking a gazillion pictures just to find the perfect “Insta-pic.”

29. For understanding when you change outfits 20 times, and then put the original outfit back on.

30. For loving pizza as much as you.

31. For buying you endless pizza.

32. For taking care of you when you had one too many glasses of wine.

33. For getting along with and enjoying your family.

34. For letting you know when you probably need to calm down.

35. For apologizing, even when it wasn’t his fault.

36. For making you feel perfect when you know you aren’t.

37. For loving you so well, even when you don't deserve it.

38. For making you wonder how you lived your entire life without him.

No matter how much we complain, we actually do appreciate all the things you do for us and put up with.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
