37 Thoughts Every College Student Has While Waiting for their Summer Job to Start

Ah, summer jobs. Time to work way more hours than humanly possible and get paid way less than we deserve, all so we can add some experience to our resumes. With most schools ending in early May, and internships not starting until June, there's a lot of "conflicting" feelings during the waiting period that every college student has.

1. Wow I have a whole month until work starts, think about the possibilities!

2. I am going to make so much money.

2. I can't wait to go to the beach as many times as possible.

3. I'm going to do all sorts of cool things.

4. I literally cannot afford any of the things I want to do

5. Can I afford to go to the bar tonight?

6. Can I afford breakfast?

7. Wow definitely need money if I want to buy that new bikini.

8. But I really don't want work to start...

9. If work starts I'm going to be too tired to go out.

10. But I can't go out if I don't have money.


11. Ok, I guess I want work to start.

12. But 9-6 everyday? That's so long.

13. How can I nap???

14. If I work I can't nap.

15. I also have to pay for my commute...

16. I guess that's what my job is for...

17. Wow, look at that cool concert next month I want to go.

18. Ok I can't afford these tickets...

19. I can once I get paid. Ok cool!!

20. LOL I can't go because I have work.

21. I can't travel when I have work.

22. That's okay, I'm doing a lot of cool stuff now.

23. *checks bank account* Ok when is my internship starting....


24. Two weeks. Cool, I can go to the bar, city, mall, beach, and happy hour a lot until then. My mom will give me money, right?

25. I need to go shopping so I can have cute new outfits for everything I'm going to do.

26. I have no money.

27. I need money.

28. I literally do nothing everyday at least with a job I'll be busy

29. But I'll be so tired and too busy to have fun....

30. But I can't have fun without money.

31. My internship starts tomorrow and I have actually done absolutely nothing.

32. What even is my job description...?

33. I have to wake up when?!?!!

34. Money. Think about the money.

35. Wow, I did absolutely nothing.

36. Ok well guess it's time to go to work. Summer sixteen here I come.

37. Money. Focus on the money.
