Even though it is the summer, coffee is always important... Always! Whether you live in Northern Kentucky, Oakley, or the West Side, Cincinnati is full of coffee shops! These coffee shops are perfect for adventuring and going out of your comfort zone of the usual Starbucks for your coffee. All over the Cincinnati I am finding different coffee places that are surprisingly closer than I thought to where I live, and probably close to where you live as well! And now, you can branch out and find the places no one knows about.
Northern Kentucky
1. Velocity Bike & Bean
Located on Burlington Pike in Florence, right off the exit you will find Velocity Bike & Bean, which is also a bike repair shop! Friendly service with a calm atmosphere, this is the perfect place to grab coffee and read a book or just to catch up with friends. Or maybe even fix your bike at the same time?
2. Carabello Coffee
Located in historic Newport, a classy calm environment with that cool feel as well. Carabello Coffee not only has delicious coffee but amazing service. As a nice touch you also get a little caramel candy when you order from here as well which is a nice touch.
3. Roebling Point Books & Coffee
Located in Covington right at the foot of the Roebling Bridge, Roebling Point Books & Coffee is filled with a great read and great coffee. It is also dog friendly, so what could be better than that?
4. Folk School Coffee Parlor
Located in Ludlow on Elm Street, you will find this great coffee, vegetarian friendly, and excellent service to make your experience here great. Its also right by the Ohio River.
5. Trailhead Coffee
Located in Newport on E 7th Street, you will find coffee that is made with extreme detail, and I am talking about the coffee that is made to look like leaves or trees, it is amazing how much detail is put into the coffee here. This is a great place for people to know how great Cincinnati coffee is.
6. Left Bank Coffee House
Located in Covington on Greenup Street, this coffee shop makes you feel like family with the great atmosphere. With great locally roasted coffee, this is definitely a place to make a visit.
Over-The-Rhine
1. Coffee Emporium
Located on Central Pkwy, Coffee Emporium is a great place to catch up with friends or to even catch up on homework being close to the University of Cincinnati. Coffee Emporium has great food, great coffee, and great sweet treats as well. Vegetarian friendly with a warm welcoming feel, it is great locally roasted coffee.
2. 1215 Wine & Coffee Lab
Located on Vine Street, the 1215 Wine & Coffee Lab not only serves great coffee in the morning but beer and wine in the evenings. Also in the morning a breakfast bar is provided as well, so a great place for a calm morning and fun nights.
3. Urbana Cafe
Located on Broadway Street, this Italian-themed coffee shop serves global tea and tasty treats as well. And to make the experience here better, there is a mini coffee truck you can also order from that makes this place very unique.
Clifton
1. Rohs Street Cafe
Located on W McMillan Street right by the University of Cincinnati's campus in the University Christian Church, you will find a welcoming environment that brews great carefully sourced coffee. To make the experience of Rohs Street Cafe even better, there is art and music to entertain you as well.
2. Highland Coffee House
Located on Highland Avenue, Highland Coffee House has a cool moody vibe offered. This coffee house is open until 2:30am and not only serves coffee, but cocktails as well.
3. Om Eco Cafe
Located on Ludlow Avenue, this cafe is an eco-minded place that serves everything from coffee to cocktails plus light food. Om Eco Cafe also provides a spiritual shop.
Mt. Adams
1. The Bow Tie Cafe
Located on St. Gregory Street, this coffee show is owned and operated by a neighborhood family. Offers espressos, tea, and a brunch menu as well. Has a very warm and welcoming feel that is a charity-focused coffee shop.
Oakley
1. Red Tree Art Gallery and Coffee Shop
Located on Madison road, this may be the friendliest coffee shop you will ever go to! Not only do they have great coffee but great art and food as well. You may loose track of time here from talking so much!
2. Deeper Roots Coffee
Also located on Madison road, you will find Deeper Roots has great coffee and tasty treats. You will also get a great latte served with a smile from their friendly staff!
3. Sleepy Bee Cafe
Located also on Madison road, Sleepy Bee is always crowded because of how great the atmosphere is and how great the food and coffee is. Once you come in here, you already feel so welcomed that no matter how long the wait is you just want to hang around for the experience of being here. Service is great as well!
Hyde Park
1. m5 espresso labs
Located on Erie Avenue, this place is great for people who love a different experience when it comes to coffee. This place has great baristas who put so much work into making their coffee the best. Said to be "The best coffee shop in Cincinnati."
2. The Coffee Garden at Hyde Park Floral
Located on Michigan Avenue, this coffee shop is not as busy as others which makes is a calm place to relax and maybe even do homework or study. It is a great atmosphere because you can sit outside in the courtyard and sit all around the beautiful flowers, it is just an amazing feel.
Northside
1. Collective Espresso
Located on Hamilton Avenue, this Collective Espresso is definitely one to make it out to. It is hard to find because it is hidden down a dirt road and when you turn into this gate, right there is Collective Espresso hidden from the road and you feel like you are in another world. Great experience, great staff, and greatly made coffee. Definitely one of my personal favorites!
2. Sidewinder
Located on Hamilton Avenue as well, this coffee shop is famous for their exotic coffee. Great outdoor sitting area and a great atmosphere.
Riverside
1. BLOC Coffee Company
Located on Price Avenue, this laid back atmosphere is full of skilled baristas who will make you great coffee as well as small meals and sandwiches. Reviews have said that their coffee was made to "perfection."
Mt. Lookout
1. Lookout Joe's
Located on Linwood Avenue, the staff here is extremely friendly, and if you come enough you can get on that "first name basis." The coffee is brewed to have great texture, Lookout Joe's is perfect if you are working on a project that you need a lot of time for.
Indian Hill
1. Coffee Please
Located on Miami Avenue, this coffee shop has great quality flavored coffees served in a very laid back environment. This coffee is made to serve, and Coffee Please offers pastries and delicious sandwiches as well.
Linwood
1. Luckman Coffee
Located on Beechmont Avenue, Luckman Coffee is said to be home to the best latte in Cincinnati. The staff is friendly, it is great to know you are getting coffee from the owner, the prices are very reasonable as well.
