I"m beginning my eighth and final semester of college, which is exciting and absolutely terrifying at the same time. Now that I'm a senior, I pretty much have the whole "start of the semester" thing down to a science. As the semester starts, it seems as though the same thoughts tend to run through my head, and I'm beginning to think I'm not the only one.
1. Alright, this is the semester that boosts my GPA. I can feel it.
2. I'm going to go full out Elle Woods on this semester.
3. Does this class have an attendance policy?
4. Ah, it does. Do I need this class to graduate on time?
5. I wonder if I'll know a lot of people in this class.
6. Great -- the kid that asks 47 questions a day is in here.
7. 75 minutes is such an extended period of time to sit in a room.
8. Quite an eternity.
9. I should probably get food after this class.
10. You know, for fuel and learning and what not.
11. I feel like I should know more people on campus by now.
12. Like, who is that?
13. Yay someone I know!!
14. *Waves*
15. Oh, cool. Guess we're not on a waving basis anymore.
16. I feel awkward now.
17. Where's my next class?
18. Ugh, I hate this building. So many stairs.
19. This professor seems like a hard grader.
20. I wonder if anyone else teaches this class.
21. How can I schedule my Netflix time this semester?
22. I have a three-hour window on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons... that should work.
23. This professor wants us all to give a unique fact about ourselves to the class.
24. Why do I feel pressure about this?
25. What is unique about myself?
26. "I have a severe and potentially fatal peanut allergy."
27. Why. Did. I. Say. That.
28. Awesome, this class has a group project worth 50% of our grade.
29. I hate group projects.
30. How much effort should I put into my appearance this semester?
31. Basically, the question is will I be sporting a t-shirt or sweatshirt?
32. How am I so exhausted all the time? It's the first week.
33. I need food.
34. And a nap.
35. And probably a shower.
