35 Things That Go Through Your Mind When Your Best Friend Gets Engaged
Hannah Durham

So, your best friend gets engaged and you are still single as a Pringle. Its a sad situation. All kinds of crazy things run through your mind. Like, wait how am I supposed to live without her? These are some things that ran through my mind after my best friend face timed me to let me see the rock on her finger.

1. Woah, did that really just happen?!

2. I'm crying.

2. Does she realize that she has to LIVE with that boy for the rest of her life?

3. I mean he must be a good guy...he did choose her and she's the best.

4. Should I cry tears of joy or sad tears? Should I jump up and down? My emotions are mixed up right now!

5. I have to post a pic on social media and let everyone know.

6. She's engaged...am I still just as important?

7. Can we really live over an hour away from each other and make it?

8. In response to number 7...I don't think I can do it.

9. Oh God. I'm gonna be alone forever and she won't be there for it.

10. Crap. Literally going to be a bridesmaid and never a bride.

11. Will she ask me to be in the wedding?!

12. Well of course she will. I am her best friend.

13. I wonder if her fiancé will have any single guys that I can hit it off with at the wedding.

14. Oh my gosh. This time next year she could be pregnant...will that knock me down another level of importance?

15. I think I am gonna cry again.

16. Rule number one: don't cry in front of her. She will think you are weak.

17. She's beautiful. She deserves everything.

18. How many more days do I have left with her?

19. MUST SPEND EVERY SECOND OF MY LIFE WITH HER UNTIL WEDDING DAY.

20. She better let me plan the bachelorette party. We need a little fun in our lives.

21. I'm crying again.

22. I hope her fiancé understands that we are basically a package deal. Its basically like he's marrying us both.

23. Also hope he doesn't mind seeing my face a lot, because I will be visiting a ton.

24. Is she really sure about this?

25. Is she really old enough to do this? I mean 23 seems a little young to me.

26. Wait, will I still be able to third wheel since she's gonna be married?

27. Maybe she'll miss me so much that she will name her first child after me.

28. When are we picking out wedding dresses?!

29. I wonder if me and her could match on wedding day...

30. I just love her so much.

31. Crying again.

32. She's gonna be the most beautiful bride in the history of brides.

33. I hope she isn't a bridezilla...

34. She deserves to be the happiest person ever.

35. I love her so much. She's my best friend and I can't imagine life without her.

So, these are just a few things that have went through my mind since my best friend became engaged to the love of her life. I am happy for her, but at the same time my heart hurts a little. I know many can relate to this post.

And to my best friend, I love you so so much. Thank you for letting me have you as a best friend. I can't wait to be right by your side as you embark on this new adventure. Thanks for being you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
