When things get tough and life gets heavy, we have to appreciate the little things. Although it's been a hard week for many people, there are positives in the world. Some of my favorite feelings in the world are:

1. Cuddling

2. Getting into bed after a long day

3. When you see your food at a restaurant

4. Getting a good grade that you worked really hard for

5. Somebody telling you that ______ reminded you of them

6. The warmth of the sun on your skin

7. Stretching

8. Ice cold water

9. The smell of freshly cut flowers

10. Late night drives

11. Receiving a handwritten letter

12. Laughing so hard you can't breathe

13. Getting your hair shampooed

14. Freshly brushed teeth

15. Putting on clothes that are fresh out of the dryer

16. Singing along to the radio with your best friend

17. Hot showers

18. Finishing a paper

19. Getting your hair played with

20. Taking a deep breath

21. A hot drink on a cold day

22. A cold drink on a hot day

23. Laying on the ground

24. Listening to a song that explains exactly what you're feeling

25. Putting on a giant sweatshirt

26. Coloring

27. Post-workout high

28. Surprises

29. Writing with a brand new pen

30. When the wind blows your hair out of your face

31. The smell of the seasons changing

32. Sitting in front of a fire

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
