College is all fun and games, but sometimes you're sitting in class and your teacher is going over an outdated and confusing syllabus and you think to yourself... I'm too sober for this.

1. You get randomly called on for a question you can't answer.

2. You have a pop quiz (which was actually an exam you forgot about).

3. You skip class once and come back feeling like you're weeks behind.

4. You check Blackboard and you failed an assignment.

5. You check Blackboard and you passed an assignment.

6. Your professor won't stop talking and class ended 5 minutes ago.

7. You don't have class until 2:30.

8. Fourteen assignments are due tomorrow.

9. You have no homework due tomorrow.

10. It's Thursday night and you want the weekend to start early.

11. It's Monday night and you want the weekend to come back.

12. Netflix removed your favorite show.

13. It's Taco Tuesday and your favorite bar has $1 tacos.

14. You have an essay due and you heard that you should write drunk and edit sober.

15. Brunch.

16. Your roommate broke up with their boyfriend.

17. Your roommate bought new wine glasses.

18. Chili's is crowded and you have to sit at the bar.

19. The pet store is out of cute puppies.

20. You see your final exam schedule.

21. You realize finals are only five weeks away.

22. You check FAFSA.

23. It's 70 degrees and a margarita just sounds too good.

24. You can't go eat Mexican food without having a margarita.

25. Your wine glasses are the only clean cups you have.

26. The store has your favorite beer in stock.

27. Someone in your friend group just turned 21.

28. You need to bond with new friends.

29. Old friends come to campus for a visit.

30. It's Wednesday and you need a pick-me-up.

31. You realize this is the only time in your life where it's socially acceptable to drink at 3:30 in the afternoon.

Whatever makes you crave a cocktail, please be sure to drink responsibly.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
