I may not say it enough, but thanks, dad, for all that you do. You've taught me more than I can imagine and been there for me through everything. I know that you know it in your heart, but I'd like to put into words how much you mean to me and a few of the many things I should have been thanking you for over the years.

1. Thank you for teaching me to be tough

2. And to brush off the little things

3. But also, to stand up for myself when I need to

4. Thanks teaching me how to throw a spiral

5. But for not getting mad when it took me a while

6. For comforting me when I cry...even though you sometimes don't understand

7. And knowing the perfect time to crack a joke

8. Thanks for supporting me in all that I do, even if you don't agree with it

9. But for not saying "I told you so"...until an appropriate amount of time afterwards

10. Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone

11. And thank you for coming to my dance recitals and competitions, track meets, band concerts, etc....even if you had other things you could be doing

12. For celebrating with me when I did well in school or sports...and consoling me when I didn't

13. For sneaking me chocolate when mom wasn't looking

14. And for being my favorite person to go on dates with :)

15. Thank you for tucking me into bed when I was little (even though I could be difficult) and falling asleep by my side

16. Thank you for being my body guard when I'm scared

17. For protecting me from anything and anyone

18. And for telling me that everything is going to be alright...even if you're not so sure yourself

19. I couldn't be more thankful for the fact that you taught me to see the best in everyone

20. And that love is real

21. Thanks for loving me unconditionally

22. And making yourself so easy to love

23. Thank you for letting me score so many times on you when we played soccer together outside

24. And for letting me think that I was super fast since I beat you in races around the neighborhood

25. Thank you so much for providing for our family with the long hours at work

26. For making time to hang out with me in your busy schedule

27. And for actually wanting to spend time with me

28. For always sending me goodnight texts when you're on a business trip

29. And for calling me "just because" when I'm away

30. For dancing with me when I need a pick me up...even though you can't really keep a beat

31. And most of all, thank you for raising me to be the person I am today. I couldn't have made it here without you, dad. I love you
