The last month of school can be so stressful, especially when you look at all the papers and projects you promised yourself you would start months ago. It is so easy to become overwhelmed at this time of year, which is why we all need a little reminder to work hard, without going insane.

1. Stay organized.

2. Let go of any negativity.

3. Have faith in yourself.

4. Relax.

5. Have a breakdown.

6. Get back up.

7. Plan ahead.

8. Stay positive.

9. Make a new Spotify playlist.

10. Give 100% on everything you do

11. Remember you are not alone.

12. Add to your "future home" Pinterest board.

13. Organize your notes.

14. Channel your inner creativity.

15. Take a break to creep on people on Facebook.

16. Take a walk.

17. Face Time your dog.


18. Clean your room.

19. KEEP your room clean.

20. Add the Kardashians on Snapchat.

21. Don't procrastinate.

22. Seriously, stop.

23. Focus on one thing at a time.

24. Pause Netflix.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
