The 30 Most Influential Teens Of 2015 That Will Change The World Someday

Time Magazine’s annual 30 Most Influential Teens list, includes many prominent celebrities and compelling teenagers from all walks of life, with something in common, they’ve all had a significant impact on the world in some way. A few of the teens included are Moziah Bridges, Rowan Blanchard, Jazz Jennings, Amandla Stenberg, and Malala Yousafzai. The list goes on and on, from celebrities to the average teenager looking to make a difference in the world.

Moziah Bridges (13)

The 13-year-old from Memphis, Tennessee created his bow tie company back when he was 9-years-old. His bow tie business has grown and prospered with great success over the years, and he currently provides his bow ties to high-end clothing companies and even players at the 2015 NBA Draft.

Rowan Blanchard (14)

Rowan is mainly known for her role on Disney Channel’s new show, “Girl Meets World.” Aside from her role, she’s striving to become a strong activist and feminist in society. Her accomplishments include composing a compelling article about feminism and speaking at the UN Women’s annual summit. There, she spoke about the difficulties that young people face when experiencing gender inequality.

Jazz Jennings (15)

Jazz Jennings is a beautiful individual, prominently known for her TLC show, “I Am Jazz.” The show follows Jazz in her life as a transgender teen. She’s been living as a girl since 5-years-old and started changing the world then. Her story has inspired many people and helped them in their own struggles.

Amandla Stenberg (17)

Although she’s most famously known for her role as Rue in “The Hunger Games,” the 17-year-old has much bigger plans for her life and society. Amandla continues to make waves and point out the inconsistency of white celebrities and pop stars who embrace certain aspects of black culture in order to appear innovative and “with the times.” But she also emphasizes how these people fail to address the serious problems harming the black community, such as the significant police brutality that the black community faces. Amandla isn’t afraid to voice her opinions, and even calls out celebrities for their inconsistent actions.

Malala Yousafzai (18)

Malala has been an inspiration to countless people across the world, because of her story and the advocaction that has arisen through her experiences. She was previously attacked by the Taliban while attending school in Pakistan, and has become an advocate for girls’ education. Malala has spoken at the UN, received a Nobel Peace Prize, opened a school, and continues to speak on behalf of the proper treatment of girls and the education that they deserve.

As I mentioned before, the list goes on, and presents many life-changing teenagers that are making their mark on the world. From advocates, entrepreneurs, chefs, youtubers, celebrities, and athletes, the teenagers on this list have very bright futures that will produce a great impact on the world. The teens won’t only change the communities around them, but change the world as a whole, and hopefully advance us into a more peaceful and accepting humankind.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
