3 Things I Wish My Dad Told Me

Just like any other boy, he once was a young man who didn’t think anything of it when he broke another girl's heart.

A little girl's first love is usually her dad. He is the man who protects her and loves her always, since the day she came into this world.

You could never imagine your own dad ever hurting another female. But just like any other boy, he was once a young man who didn’t think anything of it when he broke another girl's heart.

I wish my dad warned me about what went through his head when he was a teenage boy. It would have helped a lot.

1. What about the girl who meant nothing to you?

Dad, I could never picture you ever trying to hurt another female because I know you would never do that to Mom or I. But whether I want to believe it or not, I know at one time you were a young boy who didn’t know any better.

I know you had a girl in your life who didn’t mean anything to you, but you made her feel like the world. You probably had no intentions of hurting her, but I know you did.

So please tell me what she did wrong to deserve being treated like she was something, but ended up as nothing to you.

2. What was going through your head when she told you she loved you and you just weren’t ready to hear it?

Did you pause like every boy does when they hear those three words, or did it just go through one ear and out the other? Did you even say it back?

When you lied, did you feel the guilt as it rolled off your tongue? I can’t even hear what your voice would sound like when you lied, telling me you love me.

But then again, I know there was a time where you were a boy and didn’t know any better.

3. Why wasn’t she good enough?

I’ve never felt good enough for anyone, and anytime you saw tears in my eyes, you would always put me back into my place. In your eyes, everyone is perfect in their own way, so how come she was never perfect enough for you?

I bet she tried hard and woke up early in the morning to do her hair and makeup for you, but no matter how hard she tried, it never worked for you.

So please tell me how someone could never be good enough for a man who sees the good in everyone.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
