Deep down everyone likes taking those personality quizzes that randomly show up in your timeline. You just have to know what Disney character you most resemble, what your tastes say about your future or if you’re a peacock, lion or koala. And for some reason a lot of icebreakers when you meet people at events like college orientations, retreats, etc. you get divided into groups of people with the “same” personality. But if you think about it, it all depends on your environment. You could be a diagnosed extrovert, but be the shyest person when presenting in your English class. Those people could be called introverted extroverts, and here is how to tell if you’re one of them.
Situation: In Class
1. You like participating by answering questions and sharing your comments.
2. But you always look around to see if others have to say something first.
You don't want to take over the class!
3. You actually look forward to presentations.
4. Unfortunately for some reason your body betrays you and your face gets red.
Situation: With friends
1. You're probably the best one in your friend group in making new acquaintances.
2. Except when they're your friends' friends.
You never know their intentions, are they trying to steal your friend from you? Are they on the same friendship status as you? Hmmm. Then you look at your friends thinking they can't trade you!
3. Sometimes you get "friend crushes."
You know you do! You see people and you're like "wow, he/she is so cool, I wanna be friends with him/her but what if they're too cool for me?"
Situation: With your crush
1. You're a talkative person but suddenly don't know what to say.
Or you just end up not saying anything at all.2. Since you lose all your usual courage, you can't have a good chat so you end up finding stuff by "researching" him or her.
No one can ever know.
3. You have a lot of friends and are sociable but don't know what to do when she/he is around so you end up fake ignoring the person.
4. Even small interaction is meaningful.
But when you compare your behavior with your crush vs with classmates or friends you get sad because you get along better with them than with your crush.
This is all okay though, you do you! Even though some things are uncomfortable, you're still cool!
