1. White Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Sticks

Ingredients:

1 bag Pretzel rods, or strawberries, or regular pretzels. Whatever your heart desires to be covered in chocolate!

1 package of Vanilla Candiquir. Or any form of melted chocolate.

Blue sprinkles

Red frosting or decorating syrup

Melt your chocolate then begin dipping in your items.

Place chocolate covered treat on wax or plastic wrap surface.

I highly suggest immediately sprinkling treats with the blue sprinkles as soon as you put them on the wax surface so they stick to the chocolate before it hardens.

Decorate with red frosting or syrup.

2. Salt Painting!

Seriously this craft was so simple and so fun! It was fun for the kiddos and I to watch the salt instantly take in the watercolor paint and watch the color spread!

Supplies needed:

Black paper

Elmers Glue or Glue of any kind

Salt

Watercolor paint

Take the glue and make your own version of fireworks

Pour salt all over the wet glue

Take watercolor paint and dab onto the salt.

Watch the magic happen!

3. Red, White, and Blue Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons butter x3

4 Cups Rice Krispies x3

1 Bag of marshmallows x3

Red and Blue food coloring

Melt the butter in the microwave and then add bag of marshmallows and put in microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds.

Add rice krispies and stir!

This will be your white batch, set this aside and then do the entire process over again only adding red food coloring to the second batch and blue food coloring to the third.

On a metal cookie sheet stretch out the blue on the bottom, white in the middle, red on top. This may be sticky but that's part of the fun!

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
