In the midst of school work, tests and planning for the future, it's very easy to get lost in the busy world we live in. However, I believe college is about more than that. These four or five years we spend in school have the possibility to change us forever. Between your first day of college and your last day, you should be able to look back and be grateful for your experiences. If you want to get out there more and find some ways to enhance your college experience, this list is for you.

1. Visit every building on campus.

2. Start a conversation with a stranger.

3. Sit in on a class you're not enrolled in.

4. Pull an all nighter.

5. Shake the hand of the school president.

6. Take a picture with your mascot.

7. Attend a school concert.

8. Visit the campus art gallery.

9. Go to class wearing your favorite pajamas.

10. Dress nicely for no reason.

17. Give someone a random compliment.

18. Volunteer for a community project.

19. Go support your team at a game.

20. Attend a school play.

24. Treat a friend out to dinner.

25. Take a nap in an unusual space.

26. Spend an entire day with your best friend.

28. Cherish every moment.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
