27 Cry-Worthy Disney Moments

I don't know why I am doing this to you either.

27 Cry-Worthy Disney Moments

Upon viewing "Finding Dory" twice in its first two days of coming out, I am qualified to say it was wonderful, but y’all, it was sad. The first time, I was a constant stream of tears, and the second time, I still cried a good bit. To be fair, I am a cryer, haven’t kept a dry eye during a cheerios commercial in years. But many people, especially my age, had the same review of "Finding Dory": “Disney is trying to make us cry more and laugh less.” But maybe we’ve just gotten older and more sympathetic because "Finding Dory" is, yes, very sad, sweet and heartfelt, but still, it’s not nearly the saddest thing Disney has created. But just to keep it all in perspective, here are some of the saddest, sweetest, and overall tear jerking things Disney has forced upon us in no particular order.

1. When the toys almost die in "Toy Story 3"

2. When Andy gives his Toys to the little girl in "Toy Story 3"

3. When Jesse gets abandoned in "Toy Story 2" to a freakin' Sarah McLachlin song

4. When they find the doll in the destroyed village in "Mulan"

5. When Olaf sacrifices himself to save Anna in "Frozen"

6. When Anna sacrifices herself to save Elsa in "Frozen"

7. When Trusty gets hit by the car in "Lady and the Tramp"8. When anything at all happened in "Fox and the Hound"

9. I think I am gonna put "Fox and the Hound" in general on here twice because that’s how sad it is

10. When Dumbo is separated from his mom but she cuddles with him through the bars in "Dumbo" because it has the added pain of animal cruelty

11. When King Triton gets turned into a worm for Ariel in "The Little Mermaid"

12. When Sully says goodbye to Boo but then she opens the closet looking for him in "Monsters, Inc."

13. The beginning of "Up"

14. The end of "Up" (They bookend you in tears.)

15. When Genie is willing to sacrifice his freedom to help Aladdin find love and Aladdin is willing to sacrifice his love to give Genie freedom in "Aladdin"

16. When the townspeople are ridiculing Quasimodo in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"

17. When Flik is trying to help but ruins EVERYTHING and gets sent away in "A Bug’s Life"

18. When Tarzan realizes he’s not an ape and never will be in "Tarzan" and they play "You'll Be In My Heart" in case you didn't already have enough emotions

19. When Nani has to give Lilo up because that's how much she loves her in "Lilo & Stitch"

20. When the barracuda kills Carol and the other babies in "Finding Nemo"

21. When Dory says to Marlin, “I look at you, and I … I’m home,” in "Finding Nemo"

22. When Eve goes all closed mode and Wall-E still holds her hand in "Wall-E"

23. When Bambi’s mom dies in "Bambi"

24. When Mufasa dies in "The Lion King" but maybe the saddest part is that Simba lives his life thinking it was his fault25. When Gerry is paralyzed and Julius comes into see him and the racist nurse says it’s only family and Gerry says, “Alice, are you blind? Don't you see the family resemblance? That's my brother,” in "Remember the Titans" (This one is my kicker if you can't tell.)26. When Bing Bong tells Joy to "take her to the moon" in "Inside Out"

27. "Old Yeller" (and I don't have to tell you why).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
