As another semester approaches, students everywhere are packing in preparation to return to their cozy little residence halls for another year of wild nights spent with friends and long nights spent with books. They pack an entire car full of their belongings; some are even fortunate enough to be able to make a second trip.
Then there is a special group of students, ones who will be flying to an unfamiliar, soon-to-be home in a new country. Within the next few weeks, students will diligently be packing everything they could possibly need for four months into one or two suitcases. Even for the most avid list-maker, this proves to be a difficult task. This is a list of a few of their thoughts:
- When should I start?
- Eh, I’ll do it tomorrow (said every day until the day before your flight)
- Do I really need this?
- I NEED THIS.
- What do you mean I can only take ONE suitcase?!
- *Pays to bring the second suitcase*
- This is completely necessary.
- Whyyyyyyy is there a 50-pound limit?!
- I could easily pack 300 pounds in each suitcase.
- How will I pull this through the airport?
- I wish I could bring my cat/dog.
- I wonder if there is enough room to bring my best friend. *cries*
- Seven pairs of shoes are very necessary.
- *Reads 20+ blogs about packing*
- *Still has no idea*
- It’s going to be cool out…but what if it is hot? *packs three pairs of shorts*
- Maybe I will go somewhere warm for travel break…I will pack four bathing suits just in case.
- Do I have enough? I think I have enough.
- Nope, gotta pack more.
- This is overwhelming.
- Someone help.
- ANYONE, PLEASE HELP SOS.
- I have never worn this shirt, but maybe I will want to once I am in (insert country here)!!!!
- Never mind, no I will not.
- How can all of this fit on a plane and still fly??!
