From a college student to other struggling college students, this is for you.
1. Why am I still in school?
I think every college student has this crisis on an hourly basis, so if you're a college student, you understand.
2. How close am I to graduating?
Even if you're not graduating any time soon, you're still counting the exact amount of days and hours until that day comes.
3. I want to drop out.
You have probably heard several of your friends say this, and it's not really a normal Monday (or any other day of the week) unless you think about dropping out.
4. I want to take 30 naps today.
I'm not sure if there is actually a limit on the amount of naps you can take in one day, but as a college student, I really don't care. It's not like we actually sleep at night anyway.
5. Gotta skip this class for another class.
It's sad that this happens. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Fellow students will understand.
6. Why did I take this many hours?
We all have that one "friend" that complains about only taking the minimum amount of hours. And then you're taking 15 hours and working two jobs. You hate yourself, yes, but you still have more bragging rights.
7. I need to go to bed…
Unless you are the luckiest student in the world, it's probably a miracle that you get to bed at a decent time. Or even go to bed at all.
8. ...But I've got to stay up to do homework.
There are certain times when you seem to have a thousand assignments, quizzes, papers, tests, and group projects due at the same time. It's not like you ever wanted to see again anyway.
9. I really shouldn't have gone out last night.
10. I have no friends.
There's at least a few points in the semester where you feel completely alone. But usually, it's because of constant stress and never getting off work to do something fun.
11. How many seasons of a Netflix TV show can I watch in a day?
We all know our limits... Some just have more dedication than others.
12. Treat yo’ self.
Sometimes you really do need to give yourself a little something. You just have to figure out when to actually stop.
13. I'm so broke.
We've all gotten to the point where we were crying over the amount of money in our bank account. Seeing amounts $10 and under is all too common.
14. How many days is it until spring break?
There's something about a spring college semester that's so much worse than the fall. Especially when spring break feels like a thousand years away, even though you began counting as soon as you started in January.
15. I wonder how many all nighters I've had this week.
Not all college students can stay up all night, but everyone has certainly had their fair share of having the sun stare at you in the face after staying up later than you wanted.
16. If tomorrow is not the due date, then today is not the do date.
If you're a normal college student, this shouldn't need any explanation.
17. I wonder how much caffeine I can consume before it kills me.
College students need caffeine to function. But sometimes we just don't know when to stop.
18. Why am I eating pizza for the third time this week?
Cooking is too much effort. But pizza is not too much effort.
19. Why did I think I'd actually go to an 8 am lecture?
If you've ever had a lecture that early, you know they are awful. Avoid them like you avoid the creepy guy that stalks you in the library.
20. I feel more stress about checking my bank account than my assignments.
It's just scary. That's all there is to it.
21. Jk, I'm stressed about the assignments too.
The assignments are just as bad. But at least money can help you feel better. School work doesn't.
22. I constantly feel like I'm forgetting to do something.
You never know if it's actual free time or you're just forgetting the paper that's 20 percent of your grade. No big deal.
23. Why can't I find a parking spot?
Not everyone has this issue, but for those who do, you understand the rage of all the students who didn't pay for a parking pass stealing a spot out of your lot anyway.
24. I'll just get up early and do it…
Don't lie to yourself. You definitely won't.
25. ...or I'll oversleep and skip all my classes.
This is usually how it goes instead of getting up early. You're already late, so you might as well not go anywhere.
