College is a funky time, and you’re only an undergrad once. It’s an awkward in-between time of being a full-grown adult, and still relying on your family to sometimes give you money for groceries. Within your time in college, it’s a learning experience for everyone.
Some things you’ll learn sooner than others.
1. Have fun, you’re only in college once.
2. Do something you never thought you would ever do.
3. Go for that extra slice of pizza, it won’t kill you. There's never a bad time for pizza.
4. You will make it through college although those late nights may eventually catch up to you.
5. Prioritizing is the key to happiness.
I hate to break it to you, if you don't already know, you can't join every club on campus. There's not enough time in the day for that.
6. Set a routine, or you’ll get lost in all your time.
7. Find something you enjoy doing, it’ll help you keep your sanity.
Find something that makes you happy, whether it be going to the gym, reading, or writing.
8. Ben & Jerry’s will always be a great comfort food.
For those incredibly hard college days when you find yourself down in the dumps, Ben & Jerry's will always one of the greatest "pick-me-ups."
9. Your friends will support you, even through your most ridiculous things.
10. Sometimes your friends will have to tell you to “take a chill pill” -- don’t take it too seriously.
11. Feel comfortable with what you’re wearing, don’t let anyone judge you.
12. There’s always time, you just need to find it.
13. Life get’s crazy more often than not.
14. Sleep sometimes might be hard to come by, but remember to eventually sleep.
15. Life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies.
16. That one glass of wine won’t kill you.
And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
17. If you’re not happy, it’s time to make a change.
You're in control of your own happiness.
18. It’s OK to get a B, it won't be the end of the world.
19. Late nights are the best nights.
20. Don’t compare your accomplishments to the accomplishments of others.
Others are not you. Be proud of what you do and what you have done. Don't dwell on what you haven't done.
21. 8 a.m. classes will always be the worst.
No matter how much you try to convince yourself, going to that 8 a.m. class will be a killer.
22. Professors actually want you to go to their office hours.
23. Eat some vegetables occasionally, it’ll give your mom some peace of mind.
24. Don’t forget to call your mom, she misses you.
25. College will be one of the best experiences of your life, don't forget it.
There's nothing like college. It's the only time you can eat a full pizza and not completely hate yourself for it. You're not tied down to anything, it's the time to explore and have fun.
