High school is an awkward experience for many. You go through the stresses of trying to fit in and trying to be everywhere at once. You often spend so much time trying to be what everyone else wants, you soon forget who you want to be. I wrote this to everyone feeling stuck. This list is meant for those of you in high school and even those in different parts of their life that feel lost. This is list for people who have forgotten who they are in the confusion of trying to figure out who they want to be.

1. Your mom really is not out to get you. When she tells you not to do something it is probably for good reason.

2. That boy that you are head over heels for could hurt you, be ready for it.

3. Not everyone has the same heart as you. Just because you are willing to do things for someone, does not mean they would be willing to do the same for you, accept that.

4. Learn to love people despite their faults. You cannot change people but you can love them.

5. Parties are much more fun in college, so skipping this one Saturday night to study will not be the end of the world.

6. Make sure when you are studying you remember that is one test that you will most likely forget about a week from now, so do not lose sleep over it.

7. Your body is your temple, everything you do should only be to benefit it.

8. Everyone’s temple is different, so do not feel like you have to change in order to match someone else’s.

9. It is okay to be sad sometimes, but make sure you do not let it consume you.

10. People leave your life for a reason. Do not be angry. Do not be sad. Hold the door open.

11. Do more of what makes you happy.

12. It is okay to be a “Bitch” if that means you are doing what is best for you.

13. It is also okay to be a “Bitch” when you are standing up for what you believe in.

14, That boy that only talks to you after the sun goes down does not want a relationship with you.

15. Do not mistake physical attraction as a means of a functional relationship.

16. When you see something you do not agree with, do not bite your tongue because you are afraid of what people might think.

17. Wear whatever you want. Just because it looks different on someone else does not mean it looks bad on you.

18. Try new things. You may not like them, but I am sure you can make some pretty great friendships trying.

19. This month’s newest trend will probably be gone next month. Do not break the bank trying to fit in.

20. It is not embarrassing to dress up on spirit weeks. Show your love and pride for your school.

21. God has a plan for all of us, so when you feel lost do not be afraid to pray.

22. Do not feel bad or weird about having faith in God. He is the only one who will not turn his back on you.

23. It is okay to be honest about your anxiety. Not everyone understands it, but at least you will not feel alone when you feel an attack happening.

24. Do not drop your friends for a boy. When the relationship is over, you want to make sure you have someone to eat ice cream and cry with.

25. Most of all, learn to love yourself. It is a beautiful thing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
